Fitness is very important to me. My exercise habits have been instilled by mother since I was a teen. Thanks to her, I love to move my body and I think exercise is so much fun! I am passionate about fitness and enjoy exercising all year long. I take no breaks (except for Sundays) because it is my therapy.

During the summer, I love to take my workout outdoors. There is an amazing trail in Orange County, CA that takes your straight to San Clemente Beach and Pier. The view is spectacular and the energy is awesome. The trail is perfect for a good run and I feel so energized and happy when I am done. On days, I don’t feel like running, I enjoy a light jog or a walk. Either way, it is important to move your body!

Their bar for quality is obsessively high! No matter what you health goals are…health maintenance, lose or gain weight, or just fuel for your busy day, Orgain has something for everyone — and for kids too!

Picky about your protein? I am too. I have tried a lot of protein powders in my day and Orgain leaves other powders in the dust. Their smooth consistency and delicious flavors are addictive. Say goodbye to gritty powders, you will not get that with Orgain. Loving that it has 21 grams of organic, plant-based protein.

It is awesome to know that with that incredible flavor and smooth texture your daily health is supported. Gluten free, soy free, and non-GMO. I have my pantry stocked with Orgain’s two flavors at all times: Creamy Chocolate Fudge and Vanilla Bean. Orgain Plant Based Protein Powders are completely plant based and delicious! I know I already said that, but it is worth repeating again!

No-Bake Protein Energy Bites

The perfect delicious, healthy treat to replenish your energy stores after a good workout.

Prep Time 10 minutes
Servings 20

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup Orgain Organic Plant Based Protein Powder, Vanilla Bean (about 2 scoops)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1/3 cup chocolate chips (I love using the mini chocolate chips)

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup smooth natural peanut butter (or any nut butter)
  • 3 tbsp natural honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 - 4 tbsp almond milk

Instructions

  1. Add oats, protein powder, cinnamon and chia seeds to a large bowl.

  2. Add in peanut butter, honey and vanilla extract. Stir to combine.

  3. Add in chocolate chips. Mixture should be slightly sticky but still crumbly.

  4. Slowly add in liquid 1 tablespoon at a time and using hands (get dirty!)

  5. Combine until it comes together in a sticky ball that holds together.

  6. If mixture is too dry, add in more liquid but not so much that it won’t hold shape.

  7. Roll into balls using hands.

  8. Place in a container to set in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.

  9. Store in fridge until ready to eat.

Recipe Notes

This recipe can make anywhere from 20 to 24 energy bites. My batch usually makes around 20 because I prefer my bites to be large. I use a tablespoon to scoop out the mixture and it also helps to shape the perfect ball.

Oh yum! Having a good snack after a workout is so key. I like that you used plant-based protein powder . . . my tummy can’t handle the whey protein!

I calculated the nutritional content using this recipe but I left out the chia seeds. I also used Orgain chocolate fudge flavor instead of the vanilla but the nutritional content is the same. The recipe made 20 bites. Each bite contained 100 calories, 9 grams of carb, 4.5 grams of protein and 5 grams of fat.

I hope the protein powder you are using does not use pea protein as it has been show to cause gout.

Sounds great, I wonder how I can use steel cut oats instead of rolled oats.
I’m going to try yours first. .
    Thank you, I love orgain.

Hi Brenda. I am sure you could try using steel cut oats. I am guessing the texture could be a bit gritter; but, still delicious.

These are so good! I used milled flax seed instead of chia seeds, and agave syrup instead of honey, because I already had those on-hand. Easy to mix up and so delicious! A great sweet snack to have available, and they’ll be my quick breakfast items this week.
