Three Easy Ways To Style A Bodycon Dress + CYBER MONDAY DEALS

Without question bodycon dresses are my favorite dress style (see my previous post, Bodycon Dresses For Your Body Shape).  I love the way the dress style frames my body and this pink one from The Jennifer Lopez Collection from Kohl‘s is perfect because not only is it sexy but it still provides coverage where I want it.  Bodycon dresses are a versatile piece of clothing because you can wear it both dressed up or down depending on your accessory selection. Here in this style post I will discuss my three favorite ways to style a bodycon dress (easy and fun)!

1. Add Black Accessories to the Mix

Everything looks better in black.  Combining black colored accessories such as a stylish quilted backpack, cool bomber jacket with black stripe trim, and black leather booties gives this feminine bodycon dress some real street style cred! A street style casual look perfect for shopping and dining and taking those amazing selfies! For more inspiration see my previous style post, Evaluate Your Classic Looks With Black Accessories.

Bonus Styling Tip: Wear lariats gives the illusion of a lengthened torso because of the longer pendant necklace length and its vertical orientation.  I love this one I purchased from Target.

2. Accent Your Look With Killer Heels

Your shoe selection takes CENTER STAGE with bodycon dresses because the hem length of the dress either hits mid-thigh, knee, below knee, or mid-calf.  This provides the perfect opportunity to flaunt your favorite heels that are never meant to be covered under longer dresses.  Take my stunning high heels from Missguided.  The stiletto heel elongates my figure and the crystal embedded ankle wrap straps will give any woman shoe envy!

3. Incorporate a Patterned Scarf

There is no question that I am obsessed with animal print (see more animal print inspired looks here and here)! When I spotted this leopard print scarf at a boutique in Solvang, CA — I knew it was meant for me.  It was the last one and I pretty much ran to snatch it! Select a patterned scarf to accent your bodycon dress (solid color).  The stark contrast of the bold pattern in the scarf against the neutral backdrop of your bodycon dress will look amazing!
