Life doesn’t have to be perfect to give thanks. In fact, during life’s setbacks is when having a thankful heart is necessary. You see we are meant to struggle. It is through constant pressure that we expand and grow. Our character is shaped by how we choose to respond to life’s curve balls. It is through those times of discouragement, heartache, and pain that life’s greatest lessons are learned if we allow it.
When we choose to have a thankful heart and see out of a lens of gratitude we free ourselves from self-doubt and self-pity. When we decide to focus on our abundance instead of lack, our lives become enriched as do the relationships around us.
Gratitude is Good
It is a win-win! Gratitude is contagious and practice exercising it! My adorable Thankful Sweater from A Beautiful Inspiration Collection inspires me to do just that!
This New Year make a conscious effort to give thanks. Have a thankful heart. Be forgiving. Give others the benefit of the doubt. Choose to listen more than to react. Treat others the way you would like to be treated. Decide to be happy now — in the present. Gratitude combines making sense of the past and embracing the now which will allow you to walk powerfully in the future.

[/shop]Please, comment with the three things that you are thankful for! I will start first by sharing I am thankful for my Heavenly Father’s unconditional love, my husband’s companionship and devotion, and for the opportunity to be a mother to three fabulous individuals called my kids!
Happy New Year my friends! Thank you so much for dropping by and reading my blog! See you soon!
