I love fall for so many reasons! I get a chance to really work on things I have been thinking about since January. Picking out pumpkins with the kids, decorating our home to celebrate autumn, and putting things all pumpkin in my mouth is the best! Though I wish I could proclaim that temperatures are cooling down in Orange County, CA — they simply are not! It is hotter than ever and I am still scarred from the memories of my skin on broil while out and about town yesterday!
I must confess that the REAL reason I love fall is the fashion! The idea of wearing layers of clothes gives me the fuzzies. Sporting chic boots of all kinds excite me and showcasing fall colors created by Mother Nature is life! And, this may sound completely random as it has not been “fashion forecasted” for fall trends this season, but I adore FRINGE!
The Native Americans pioneered this fabulous fashion embellishment in their leather clothing and cowboys loved this detail too making fringe the quintessential American West style. Let’s not forget fringe was added to provide extra coverage to the beginning of daring styles to flapper dresses in the 1920s.
Who knew there was so much backstory on fringe? Channel your inner famous flapper girl, Pocahontas beauty, Boho babe, or free-spirited cowgirl with fringe!
