I have been dying to show you this lace dress from Mika Rose that I found at Brigham Young University Bookstore in their women’s department. We were at BYU for Emi’s (my eldest daughter) first official youth ballroom competition. She did great and she is training for her next one in March. We love going back to Utah where I was raised and where my family still lives. It is always nice to be home.
For those who aren’t familiar with Mika Rose clothing brand, let me tell you all about it! Mika Rose designs fun, stylish and modest clothing for women. Have you ever seen a style you wanted to wear but it was cut too short at the hem? Imagine bending over to pick up your child’s toy in a cute skirt only to flash strangers at the grocery store! Yup, need I say more?
When I spotted this skirt with a gorgeous black lace medallion, I knew I had to have it! It fits high at the waist which I like because it accentuates my curves. It is a pencil skirt that fits comfortably and is not constrictive. And the hem falls perfectly at the knee for a classic appeal. I paired it with an olive top (similar olive top), a trending winter color, and my favorite black heels from Nine West. I like adding hats for a whimsical flirty touch (woven floppy hat)! xo
I love the black handbag from Charming Charlie since it is embellished with stunning crystals studs! If you look carefully my sterling silver antique coordinating necklace and bracelet has a horse symbol in it. This is special to me and on loan from my mother (a gift from my wonderful step father). My step daddy is a Native American shaman and has the most amazing authentic Native American jewelry. His Indian name is Two Horses.
Check out Mika Rose clothing line which is available in certain stores and definitely online. I am sure you will find pieces you will want in your closet and their prices are excellent too. I felt so beautiful this day and played around with some fun poses. I hope it inspires you to do the same. SHINE! Thank you so much for visiting To Thine Own Style Be True!
