Is Athleisure Wear Just A Trend?
I remember there was a time if you got caught wearing your athlete wear outside of the gym it was embarrassing! Gym clothes were meant to be worn in the gym only and that was it. However, for me, this wasn’t the case. I wasn’t the type to return home to change into my streetwear to run errands. I left the gym sweaty and started to check off my “to-do” list one by one in my gym clothes. I just didn’t care. When you are a mom of three, you ain’t got time to waste! I am so glad times have changed!
Celebrity Style
With many celebrity sightings wearing their athletic apparel around town, the perception of gym clothes changed. Celebrities glamorized workout clothes and made it fine, if not trendsetting to wear your workout clothes outside! If Kate Hudson, Julianna Hough, Jennifer Lopez are doing it…why not us? Designers now understand what consumers want. We want clothes that are versatile! Our clothing must serve more than one purpose. Clothing designers took note and created clothes perfect to wear from the gym to the streets!

I hope not! I have so many cool leggings — my son told me that that’s all I wear! I really like those black and white/gray ones! It doesn’t look like that come in tall/long length though…

Im one of those people who tends to favour gymwear over real clothes so athleisure wear for me is spot on. I find it so hard to get clothes to fit my body its easier to just wear my gym clothes lol
I can’t say athleisure wear is something I’ve ever heard of before, and I don’t think I’d personally wear i. But then I’m definitely not the brands target market, as I don’t go to the gym or go running LOL x
Athleisure is a staple in my rotation. Its just so easy to wear when you just need to run a couple of errands and want to look semi put together.
