Iggy Azaela once said “High price, but I’m worth it baby!” I am going to talk to you about the importance of showing respect to yourself. We all need more self love. There are so many pressures from work, life, church, media, and family that puts unneeded stress on ourselves. I am here to tell you that I am a recovering people pleaser. Here are a few tips to help you show R-E-S-P-E-C-T to yourself!
It starts with self-respect. Take the time to define your value and worth as a human being. I can tell you right now that you are phenomenal! You may think, “Girl, you don’t even know me!” But, what I believe 100% is — when God made you, He made his very BEST!
Sometimes, my day can feel so crummy and hopeless but I know that God created me for a purpose. If you don’t have respect for yourself, it is hard for others to have respect for you.
Good manners and conduct have always been a part of my upbringing. Raised in an old-fashion Asian family, showing respect for your elders was of utmost importance. Though as a child, I was annoyed with all of the rules and mannerism taught by my mother and grandparents.
I understand now why having respectful conduct for others is critical in this social fabric called life.
When you exercise kind and thoughtful conduct and manners towards others it makes you feel good. In return, people are more likely to treat you the same way. Call it the cosmic law of karma! You actually attract the kind of people in your life that are like you. So, be clear on who you want to be.

Never settle! You deserve the very best in your life. This has to be one of the best ways to show respect for yourself. Do not settle on less than you deserve. Do not short change yourself. Do not dim your light for others. In this life create your BEST LIFE!

I am in no way embracing the ideal of a ‘perfect life” or an easy route to what you want. You have to work for it. You may even need to change parts of you that need refinement. I find that God, has clever ways in pointing that out. Do not fear change and learn from your mistakes graciously.
