I am excited to share with you the final results of my second microblading treatment, also known as the “Perfecting Session” with my girl Charlene Erksine of Flirt 3D Brows & Skincare. Back in December, I received my first microblading session and I was blown away with the results! My brows have always been uneven, sparse and asymmetric. But, now I have the perfect celebrity eyebrows! Read on for more of my microblading experience.

My microbladed brows look very natural.

- Before: Left Side.
The two pictures show my brows before I had them microbladed. They are uneven, sparse, and asymmetrical (back in December 2016).

The look of my brows after the first treatment of microblading. They are filled and the shape is pretty. You can see the feather-like ink strokes to mimic natural brow hairs.

The final results of my second treatment and it looks fabulous!

I like to add a little bit of brow make up for a bold but still natural brow look.

I love how natural my brows look and the shape compliments my facial structure. If I had only done this sooner!
For those who are not familiar with microblading, it is another form of cosmetic tattooing. The pigment is deposited in a more shallow fashion than conventional tattooing. The tattoo is made from a hand tool and not a machine. This allows for a softer effect and the tattoo is semi-permanent which means it can partially or completely grow out over time.
I was surprised to find out that this process takes two sessions. To be quite honest, I asked if I could just have one. Boy, did I need to trust the process. Charlene of Flirt 3D Brows & Skincare, told me the two sessions are extremely important. The first appointment is the “Foundation Session” where your brows are formed with tiny, individual hair-like strokes.
After the first session, your brows have healed and the ink may lighten and it is normal to have any inconsistencies. It is at the “Perfecting Session” or second treatment that the brows will look more complete from the final hair-like strokes application which follows your natural hair growth. It looks so real, girls!
The second session happens around the 6 to 8 weeks after the first treatment. Charlene assessed my brows to look for any light or bare spots and to build additional texture. Additional hair strokes are made to perfect the shape and add more fullness. This second process usually takes up to 1 to 1.5 hours.
There may be some individuals that may require a second session to get the look they desire. I was happy with my second treatment. However, those who have stubborn skin, did not utilize proper after care, or improper tweezing, or scarring my need more than two sessions to obtain the look they need. It is completely individual and you can discuss that with Charlene.
I am really happy with the final results. However, you may still decide to fill in your brows with makeup and that is okay. I do! I love playing and enhancing my brows further. This time, it just takes a minute instead of 5 to 10 minutes to get my brows the way I like them.
Hooray, for that extra time when I need to bolt out of the door for appointments and kids stuff. I still enjoy using a brow pencil or powder to fill in my brows a bit. No biggie.
People have asked me if I need to get them redone and the answer is yes. Let me remind you that this is a semi-permanent tattoo. So, if you hated it — you just need to wait for the ink to naturally exit your skin through sloughing over time. But, if you LOVED it like me and I have heard MANY DO, you will want to come back yearly for a “Refresh Appointment” to keep your brows looking their best!
Charlene is running a special right now for microblading (two sessions) and it is $550 (normally $650). If you pay in cash you will receive a further discount of $450 for the two treatments. She has an office in San Diego and Huntington Beach and also is available in Carlsbad, Encinitas, and Las Vegas. Her website is Flirt3DBrows. She also offer manual eyeliner and lips, scalp pigmentation and stretch mark camouflage.
Let me know if you have any questions and tell me what you think of my “celebrity brows!?!” LOL!
