Last winter, I wrote a post on Why You Should Wear Red for Christmas. It was less than a style post but more like an online therapy sesh for me. I was surprised from the many comments of support I received. Before my vulnerability was made public, I believed that I wasn’t worthy to wear red. I forced myself to buy a bright red sweater and take photos of it for my blog. A self discovery was made that wouldn’t have happened otherwise. I discovered that I looked good in red and it wasn’t a color I needed to shy away from.
For the longest time, I felt the same way about the color burgundy too. I felt like it wasn’t a color that I could pull off either! However, when I spotted this burgundy vegan pencil skirt with an asymmetrical front slit, I knew I needed to push myself again and try it. Color has such a strong impact on our psyche, right!?! I discovered this berry-shade, wine-inspired color is a fun and on-trend addition to any fall or winter look!
Again, my forced experimentation worked in my favor and I found that I really love the way burgundy looks on my skin-tone. Am I the only person who has complexes with color? LOL! Are there any colors that you feel uncomfortable wearing but would really like to try? If so, I challenge you to try my experiment and share with me your results!
